| . | Duurstede® Shampoo is a highly concentrated, low-sudsing shampoo formulated to clean hair and skin gently without stripping them of their natural nutrients. Duurstede® Shampoo rinses easily from even the most stubborn coat. Imported herbal extracts help control sebum secretions, keeping hair cleaner longer. Loaded with natural proteins specially treated to bond to the hair, Duurstede® Shampoo is your only choice if you want your dog to have a coat with remarkable texture, strength, and extraordinary shine. Duurstede® Shampoo does not contain Sodium Chloride (table salt) used by many manufacturers as an inexpensive thickening agent. Don't be fooled by simple chemistry — thickness does not necessarily mean concentration.
Directions: Wet the coat thoroughly with lukewarm water. Apply a very small amount to your hands, then apply to coat. Alternate adding shampoo and water until a lather just starts to appear. Allow the shampoo to work for 2 to 3 minutes before rinsing completely using lukewarm water. Repeat only if necessary. If your preference is to dilute your shampoo, remember that this is a very concentrated product and ratios up to 1:20 are possible. Your dilution's effectiveness will vary according to coat-type, coat-soiling, and local water conditions. Developed for the muzzle and head, its unique ingredients make it an excellent product for dog fanciers who want to bath around the eyes, but who do not want to apply strong conditioners and protectants to those sensitive areas. With a balanced pH and free of Sodium Chloride and alcohol, Duurstede® Shampoo-EF employs the same ingredient as our revolutionary Duurstede® Revitalizer plus Polyquaternium 7 to provide mild conditioning and protection without eye irritation.
Directions: Wet the coat thoroughly with lukewarm water. Apply a very small amount of shampoo to your hands, then apply to coat. Alternate adding shampoo and water until a lather just starts to appear. Leave on for 2 to 3 minutes before rinsing completely using lukewarm water. Place your hand gently over the dog's eyes to keep the eyelids closed and help stop the entry of rinse water. We know Duurstede® Shampoo-EF won't irritate your dog's eyes, but we never know what else might be in the rinse water! Repeat only if necessary. If you prefer to dilute your shampoo, remember that this is a very concentrated product and ratios up to 1:20 are possible. | . | Based on a special formula developed after years of diligent research, Duurstede® Conditioner promotes a healthy-looking, manageable coat for every coat-type and condition. Duurstede® Conditioner goes on alkaline, which is opposite in pH to most products. This opens the cuticle, allowing the emollients to penetrate to the cortex of the hair. Duurstede® Conditioner then self-neutralizes to the coat's natural pH. This change in composition closes the cuticle, locking in the emollients. By lubricating the hair from the inside out, Duurstede® Conditioner discourages damage by the environment.
Directions: Wash the coat using Duurstede® Shampoo or Shampoo-SG. Damp dry the coat. Apply a very small amount to your hands, then apply to coat. Leave on for 2 to 10 minutes depending on the amount of conditioning required — use less time for wiry coats, more time for silky coats. This is not a leave-in conditioner — rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Towel dry in the natural direction of the coat. Do not use high heat while drying, as this only reopens the cuticle, increasing the chance of tangling. | . | If your dog's coat needs the ultimate protein treatment — this is it! Duurstede® Additive is packed with algae and natural vegetable proteins that are imported from Italy. Duurstede® Additive is not used as an ingredient directly in Duurstede® Conditioner or Conditioner-DT, as these proteins are very sensitive to pH. For maximum benefit, mix Duurstede® Additive just prior to use. Designed as a protein filler for the hair, the protein in Duurstede® Additive has been positively charged and is attracted to the negatively charged damaged hair. The hair and the Additive's proteins form bonds filling in the damaged areas. Silica (not silicone) particles in Duurstede® Additive, also positively charged, give the coat a mirror-like shine.
Directions: Wash coat using Duurstede® Shampoo or Shampoo-SG and towel dry. In a dish, thoroughly mix 2 parts Duurstede® Conditioner with 1 part Duurstede® Additive. Thin with lukewarm water if the mixture is too thick to spread easily through your coat-type or if the mixture is lumpy. Work into coat and leave on for 2 to 10 minutes depending on the amount of conditioning required — less time for wiry coats, more time for silky coats. This is not a leave-in mixture — rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Towel dry in the natural direction of the coat. Do not use high heat while drying as this only reopens the cuticle increasing the chance of tangling. Special Grooming Tip: Duurstede® Additive works best when mixed with Duurstede® Conditioner. | . | Duurstede® Revitalizer is a leave-in protectant that adds volume and texture. It forms a moisturizing film that protects by creating a shampoo soluble "sleeve" that guards the hair from the environment while at the same time, allowing it to "breathe." Duurstede® Revitalizer instantly reinforces the structure of the hair shaft but never flakes or builds up. The slightly acidic nature of Duurstede® Revitalizer helps tighten the cuticle to the hair shaft, resulting in a coat with unsurpassed reflectiveness.
Directions: Prepare the coat using Duurstede® Shampoo or Shampoo-SG and Conditioner/Additive. When the coat is almost dry, place a little Duurstede® Revitalizer in your hands and apply to coat. Place extra on those areas where soiling is a problem. Special Grooming Tip: Duurstede® Revitalizer makes an excellent topcoat and antistatic spray by mixing 10 mL to 45 mL (2 t. to 3 T.) Duurstede® Revitalizer with 237 mL (8 fl. oz.) distilled water, depending on coat-type. When mixing with water, only make enough for a few days' use.
